Gevonden gedicht/ found poem

Hallo allemaal,

Voor mijn "Be Positive project" maak ik al gebruik van mijn dagelijkse krant..

Nu heb ik uit de krant van afgelopen zaterdag ook een heleboel woorden & zinnen geknipt; die leverden (met wat schuiven) het volgende 'gevonden gedicht' op , waar ik een mixed media collage omheen maakte:

Boodschap aan een vreemde
Af en toe kunnen praten met je hart
De haat achter ons gelaten
Op zoek naar de gedroomde wereld

I'm already using my daily newspaper for my "Be Positive project"...

Now I cut a lot of words & sentences out of last Saturday's newspaper; they turned into the above 'found poem', around which I made this mixed media collage.

Translated it means something like:

Message to a stranger
Being able to talk with your heart now and then
Hatred left behind us
Looking for the dream world

Laagjes, laagjes / layers & layers....

Hi,

Ben weer een nieuwe collage begonnen, op een klein canvasje (20x20cm). Eerst weer laagjes gemaakt met gescheurd papier, verf, stempels en tissue papier (daar krijg je zo'n leuke structuur mee..)
Started on a new collage, on a small canvas (20x20cm). First I made some layers again, with torn papers, stamps, paint & tissue paper (this last ons gives such a nice structure..)

De tekst die ik gevonden heb in een magazine, luidt: 'This place stole my heart'.
I found the text in a magazine: 'this place stole my heart.'

Morgen post ik 't resultaat. I'll post the finished result tomorrow!

Ben druk bezig geweest met het opstarten van mijn "Be positive Art journal" project (zie vorige post). Hieronder zie je al mijn journal spreads die ik tot nu toe heb gemaakt. Vanaf nu zal ik er elke dag maken/ posten.
Ik hoop dat je met dit project mee wilt doen!

Nieuw schilderij / new painting

Hi there,

Meer dan een week niet geblogd, woow!! Sorry sorry....maar ja, soms ben je zo druk met van alles, dan komt het er gewoon niet van! Wel intussen nieuwe dingen (af-)gemaakt, o.a. dit schilderij met '' found poetry''. Gemaakt met een o.a. collage van oud magazine papier, acrylverf, Neocolor crayons, handgeverfd tissue papier.

Didn't do any blogging for more than a week, woow! I,m sorry.... but then again, sometimes you're just so busy with lots of things, you just don't have the time for it! I did make/ finish some new art; this painting's one of them. Painting with found poetry, made with magazine paper collage, acrylic paints, Neocolor crayons, handpainted tissue paper.

The 'poem' reads:
How will I survive
in the morning
without coffee?

Mini art

Hi,

Heb van de week een groot vel "achtergrond" gemaakt. Begonnen met gescheurde stukjes tijdschriftpapier, toen diverse lagen gesso, acrylverf, stempels etc eroverheen. Een lekker vrolijk geheel.
This week I made a big "background" paper. Started with torn magazine paper, then I added layers of gesso, acrylic paint, stamps etc.
It all looks happy & colorful.

Vervolgens heb ik het vel in stukjes gesneden.
Then I cut the paper into little pieces.

Nu ben ik bezig om er mini mixed media schilderijtjes van te maken.
Ik heb er al een paar af:

Ze zijn gemaakt met handgeverfd tissuepapier, Copic markers en found poetry.
De werkjes zelf zijn heel klein, 6x9 cm.
En binnenkort staan ze uiteraard in mijn Etsy shop!
They were made with handpainted tissuepaper, copic markers and found poetry.
The paintings measure 6x9 cm, 'mini' indeed.
And of course they'll be in my Etsy shop shortly!

Hi,

Twee mixed media schilderijtjes wilde ik nog laten zien... Vandaag afgemaakt; en allebei gaan ze over de liefde!
Ben steeds meer bezig met het maken van 'found poems'; woorden en zinnen knippen uit oude tijdschriften & junk mail en die vervolgens gebruiken voor het maken van gedichten. Bij deze gedichtjes probeer ik dan weer een passend kunstwerkje te maken.

Wanted to show you 2 mixed media paintings... I finished them today; and they're both about love!
Find myself more and more busy with the making of 'found poetry'; cutting words & sentences form old magazines & junk mail and using those for making poems. Then it's fun to try and make a fitting artwork for each poem.

And since we're heading for Valentine's Day, more love-paintings are to follow!

Druk weekje../ busy week...

Journal page with Neocolors & found poem

Zo, dat was even een druk weekje! Veel werk (altijd goed natuurlijk!), alle kerstversiering ophangen/ neerzetten, kerstgala's op school, eindejaars-regeldingen etc etc. Nu nog de zolder opruimen (*zucht*), kerstboodschappen doen en dan kan de kerstvakantie beginnen. Ik wens iedereen hele mooie & vredige dagen toe en alvast een goed & kleurrijk 2012!
Well, it has been a very busy week! Lots of work (which is always a good thing of course!), doing all the Christmas decorations, putting up the tree, X-mas ball's at school, end-of-year-thingies to arrange etc etc. Now all I have to do is clean up the attic (*sigh*), do my X-mas shopping and then the holidays can start! I wish you all very beautiful & peaceful holidays and a good & colorful 2012!

Kopje koffie.../ cup of coffee

Mijn 'verwen'-moment van de dag: meiden naar school, met hond naar 't bos geweest en dan: een kopje koffie!! Liefst gevolgd uiteraard door een ochtendje "kunst" (tekenen, schilderen, art-blogs bekijken etc.)
Vandaar dit 20x20cm mixed media canvas, met een 'found poem' over precies dit onderwerp!
My 'spoil-yourself'- moment of the day: girls gone to school, dog has had his forest walk and then: a cup of coffee!! Preferably followed of course by a morning filled with artsy stuff (like drawing, painting, reading art blogs etc.) Therefore this 20x20 cm mixed media canvas, with a 'found poem' about this subject!

(the poem reads something like:
One of those things
every day
a cappucino in the morning
wide awake
art in your coffeecup)

Dit is trouwens het begin-stadium; grappig detail: op het gescheurde papier (uit de VT wonen magazine) stond de tekst "ik kan uren zitten tekenen"...
This was the first stage btw; funny detail: on the torn paper (from a magazine) stood this text " I can sit and draw for hours"...

Sterren zentangle

Hi,

Had weer een ander ideetje: found poetry combineren met zentangles. En dit kwam eruit (al een beetje kerstmissig, met al die sterren, vind je niet?...)
Had another idea: to combine found poetry with zentangles. And this is what came out (it's already a bit Christmassy, all those stars, don't you think?..)

De woorden & zinnen heb ik geknipt uit diverse tijdschriften, zoals Seasons en VT Wonen..

Staren naar sterren
in de duisternis
Verdwaald verlangen
op zoek naar betekenis

Er is nog een wereld te ontdekken
Genieten van het hier en nu
Geen twijfel mogelijk.

The words & sentences were cut out from various magazines. The translation goes a bit like this:

Gazing at stars
in the darkness
Lost longing
looking for a meaning

There is still a world to discover
Enjoy the 'here and now'
Without a doubt.

New journal page

Hi,

Gelukkig weer wat meer tijd voor tekenen, journalling en ander leuks! Weer iets gedaan met 'found poetry'. (zie post van 5 november) Vind het echt leuk om op die manier met woorden te spelen...
Voor deze pagina heb ik een ondergrond gemaakt met Neocolors en gesso. Een plaatje uit een tijdschrift geknipt en opnieuw ingekleurd. De stempels zijn handgemaakt (van gummetjes). Verder nog wat gedoodled in zwart-wit.

Luckily I've got some more time now for drawing, journalling and other nice stuff! Made something again with 'found poetry'. (see post 5th Nov) Really like to play with words that way....
For this page I made a background with Neocolors & gesso. Cut out a photo from a magazine en re-colored it. Stamps are handmade (from erasers). Furthermore I did some doodling in black & white.

Voor mijn lief....

Hi,

Vandaag is de verjaardag van mijn lief! En ik vond deze journal page daar wel mooi bij passen!
De woorden van het 'gevonden gedicht' heb ik uit een oude Flow magazine (zó'n leuk tijdschrift trouwens!!). Verder heb ik gebruikt: kleurpotlood, waterverf, Neocolors, collage en witstift.

Today is my hubbie's birthday! And I thought this journal pages fits wonderfully with that!
The words I used for the 'found poem' I cut out of an old (Flow) magazine (love that magazine..). Other things I used: colored pencil, watercolor, Neocolors, collage, white pen.

"Found poetry"

Hi,

Heb 't eigenlijk net ontdekt: Found poetry, oftewel 'gevonden gedichten'...
Neem wat oude tijdschriften, kranten of gewoon junk mail; pak je schaar en knip at random hier en daar woorden en zinnetjes uit. Gewoon, wat je toevallig opvalt of leuk vindt.... Daar ga je mee schuiven tot er vanzelf een soort gedichtje ontstaat. Dat kun je dan uiteraard weer heel mooi gebruiken als start voor een journal page!
Hier één van mijn eerste; gaat over...... art journalling..?

Did really just discover this: found poetry.....
Take some old magazines, newspapers or just junk mail, grab your scissors and cut some words and phrases at random. Just whatever you happen to notice or like .... Then move them around and all 'by itself' a kind of poem appears. Of course you can use this as a prompt for a journal page!
