Mini albums!

Hi there!

Even een snelle update wat er dezer dagen op mijn werktafel ligt:
Justt a quick update of what's on my working table these days:
1) Ben heel veel nieuwe stencils aan het maken/ making lots of new stencils

2) nog meer stempels gemaakt/ more handcarved stamps:

3) heb eindelijk eens mijn voorraad tissuepapier geordend op kleur (jeweetwel , al die kwast-afveeg papiertjes!)
I finally got round to organizing my 'cleaning-my-brush' tissuepapers on color

Wow! so much yummy material to work with. I'm richer than I thought!

Ik kan niks weggooien, dus al deze snippers met prachtige kleuren in een aparte zak bewaard/ I can't throw away any of these lovely colored bits of paper!

Art journals for sale...

Hi,

Eén van de dingen waar ik op dit moment mee bezig ben, is het maken van art journals. Hierbij ga ik uit van een bestaand blanco boek , met hardlinnen cover. Deze cover 'versier' ik met allerlei mixed media technieken.
Zo is elk boek uniek, one-of-a-kind, elk met een eigen kleur/ thema.
(Ik maak ook 'customized orders')

Uiteraard zijn ze te koop in mijn Etsy store. Hier zijn er een paar:

One of the things I'm working on at the moment, is the making of art journals. I'm using books with blank pages, with a hardlinnen cover.
I 'embellish' the cover with paint & all kinds of mixed media techniques.
Every book is unique, one-of-a-kind, with it's own colors/theme.
(I also make customized ones)

Nieuw boek/ new book

Hi there,

Afgelopen week mijn verjaardag gevierd! Al een paar jaar niet meer voorgekomen dat we thuis waren op die dag, meestal zaten we dan in de sneeuw...(ook niet erg, haha!)maar dit jaar valt de vakantie iets later, dus.. tijd voor een feestje!
Eén van de dingen die ik kreeg:

Yeeh, 't nieuwe boek van Tracy Bautista!! Weer boordevol kleurige art & inspirerende projecten!. Ben er superblij mee :)

Last week I celebrated my birthday! Have not done that the last couple of years, since we were always on ski-holiday (which is not a bad thing either, haha). But this year the holidays are a bit later in Feb, so it was time for a party!
This book was one of my presents: Traci Bautista's new book! Filled to the brim with colorful art & inspiring projects, I love it!

New book!

Ben zó blij met wat ik gekregen heb voor Sinterklaas :een prachtig boek "The Artist Unique" van Carmen Torbus. Vól met leuke mixed media technieken en inspirerende verhalen van verschillende kunstenaars. Echt een aanrader dus!
So happy with what St. Nicolas brought me : a beautiful book "The Artist Unique", from Carmen Torbus. It's packed with great mixed media techniques and inspiring stories from different artist. Really great!!
(btw : St. Nicolas is somewhat of the Dutch "Santa"...)

Er staat trouwens ook werk in van een mixed media artist die ik erg bewonder: Mystele Kirkeeng. Kijk eens rond op haar blog: www.mystele.com
