Mixed media mini's

Hello there!

Er zijn zoveel snelle, makkelijke kunst projectjes, kleine dingen die je even tussendoor kunt maken of als je niet veel tijd hebt...
There are so many quick & easy little art projects, that you can do inbetween, or when your artmaking time is limited...

like f.e. making ATC's

ATC staat voor Artist Trading Card. Kleine kunstkaartjes die maar 1 regel hebben: nl. hun afmeting, van 2.5. x 3.5 inch. Deze kaartjes worden geruild en niet verkocht. Voor het maken ervan gelden geen regels, je kunt schilderen, tekenen, plakken, doedelen, wat je maar wilt...
Daarnaast bestaan er ook nog ACEO's ; en dat staat voor Artist Cards Editions and Originals. Met dezelfde 'regel' van een afmeting van 2.5"x 3.5".
ATC stands for Artist Trading Cards. Little artcards with only one 'rule', which is their size : 2.5 x 3.5 inch. These cards are for trading only, not to be sold. There are no rules for the making; you can paint, collage, doodle, glue, whatever you like...
Next to that there are also ACEO's, which stands for Artist Cards, Editions and Originals. Same 'size' rule. ACEO's can be sold.

Ik had nog een stapeltje al geschilderde ATC's liggen. I found this stash of backgrounds I had made a while ago.

TIP: neem een doos en gebruik 'm voor het bewaren van alle kleine 'rommeltjes' die je zo op een dag tegenkomt. Zoals: postzegels, verdwaalde puzzelstukjes, kaartjes, tickets, bonnetjes, oude briefkaarten, foldertjes, restjes van andere projecten enzovoort...
Perfect spul voor het maken van dit soort mixed media mini's als een ATC !
TIP: take a box and fill it with all the collage 'fodder' you come across during the day. Like : poststamps, puzzle pieces, cards, tickets, receipts, old postcards, junkmail stuff, artsy leftovers and such...
All perfect fodder for making these kind of mixed media mini's as an ATC!

TIP2 : neem een doos en bewaar daar allerlei tekst knipsels in; woorden en zinnen die je tegenkomt in de krant of in magazines. Ik heb er eentje voor nederlandse en eentje voor engelse teksten.
TIP2: take a box and keep all your cut out texts in there, you know, words and sentences you find in the newspaper or magazines. I keep one for Dtch and one for English text.

ATC (art card)

Hello,

Een klein berichtje nog...toen ik de 'postzegel' ATC's maakte van de week, realiseerde ik me hoe lang ik al niet dit soort leuke art cards had gemaat. Hoog tijd om deze gewoonte weer op te pikken!
En bovendien had ik ook al heel lang niet meer mijn (toch favoriete) Inktense potloden gebruikt. Dus bij deze !
Just a small post..
Making the "poststamp' ATC's a few days ago , it made me realize how long it's been since I've been making these kind of cute little art cards. High time to pick up the habit!
And another thing that I haven't been using lately are my Inktense pencils. And I lóve those !

More ATC's will certainly follow soon!

Cat ACEO's

Hallo!

Gisteren had ik weer 'ns zin om wat mini art te maken, dus ben ik begonnen met een serie 'kleurige katten'ACEO's :

Heb ze geplaatst in mijn Etsy shop en ze zijn tot mijn verbazing direct verkocht! Ben blij!
Dus ze zijn nu al op weg naar hun nieuwe huis :)

Yesterday I wanted to do some small artwork again, so I started a 'colorful cats' ACEO series.
Posted them in my Etsy shop and to my surprise they were sold immediately! I'm happy!
So they're already travelling to their new home!
